I've been thinking about this aswell as I still have my water spray setup but not sure if it would make much of a difference though

I done it to my old RA but never used it......Just make sure you have a decent one way valve otherwise the bottle will empty in no time at all.

Done it to mine just as I thought why not, put the standard Intercooler spray into the front bumper just above the Intercooler. Cost nothing to do

Ive a JDM "engine bay" bottle and pump if needed, easier to sort than the boot setup (no cutting of the boot trim, no lengthy pipes or wires), also got some switches

I also have boot bottles/pump if required.

Your right, but sometime its not all about performance...

I spoke to Andrew Carr, and Harvey actually confirmed that fitting a Spray to the FMIC was pointless. However it was so simple I did it anyway using a Scania wiper spray kit, did a fantastic coverage job and I was satisfied knowing the button did something

I don't think it's pointless.

In hot weather even a front mount can become warm, by spraying water onto it will obviously have a cooling effect. Agree that on the roads under normal driving conditions it probably won't make any difference but on a track or drag strip it will help.
It's very simple and very cheap to do so why not ?

Rob, wouldn't have the slightest idea what to offer to be honest. I'd really love a spec C 12lt tank but reckon they are pretty hard to come by.

I don't know Scott well at all, I've had many dealings with Andy, Neil and Brian when he was there, but not recently thus I have never met Scott in person.

Just send him a PM buddy

Rob

I plumbed my FMIC for IC purely because it was soooo simple to do anyway, and my FMIC was black so I was paranoid that it would get heat stroke. Harvey said not,and he then went on to give me quite a lot of info about temps and det etc, and prove to me that after some serious testing and development there is little to be gained. Clearly there is a gain, especially on TMIC where it soaks up engine heat, but FMIC not so much so.

How strange is that, i only just asked this very question on my local scooby site yesterday. Even if it is pointles I think im gonna go ahead and do it, as said, it costs nothing. And just having that I/C spray button on the dash not doing anything would annoy me.

Many people tried several solution, like DEI Cryo or water spray for FMIC and there is no gain, maybe gain will be going fitting something like is it water injection(into FMIC pipework, similar to the AEM,Devils Own and other water-methanol injection)
