Insurance help
Hiya everyone,
I'm hoping to get my98 impreza wrx on the road on 1st of april, i say mine its actually my dads and mine, we are sharing it as have both always wanted one but costs have always been too high for me personally, im about to turn 23 now so thought it's time to go ahead and do it.
We only really want to use it for 6 months of the summer and just as a weekend or special occasion car so have been trying to find someone who will insure for just 6 months and on a limited mileage of 4000 but dont seem to have had much luck as yet, i was wondering if anyone on here might have any suggestions on who to try for this type of policy???
The best i've found so far was a 10 month policy with admiral at just under £1000 but this was not with limited miles.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated, Thanks

If you can get trade cover (and they do check your trading sometimes, mine just has on renewal!) and need it for anything, go for it

They will shaft you given half a chance with any insurance company, so having a signwritten impreza with your website plastered all over it is a good way to justify having it on there . The proofs theyre after with mine are invoices, letterheads, etc etc so I think they are really tightening up, not an issue for me as I have it for my company but I think the days of using them as a multicar jobby are going fast.
Good luck

Your recommendation is much appreciated but we are strictly age 25 or over on all Impreza models..

I went with Adrian Flux (through Aviva as it was ceaper going through a middle man than straight with Aviva (by over £100)) when I had to renew mine. My renewal was over £900 and I got it through Adrian Flux for around £380.
I did take out an extra cover for £50 per annum that has something to do with the excess. So as it is, I have a £1,100 XS but with this extra cover in the event of a claim, it pays my first £1,000 of my XS. So really I have a £100 XS to find. So a higher XS lowers the insurance quote (as a rule) thus makes it cheaper. I think the mileage is on 6000 miles p/a as it don't go out much
BUT age is a very important factor with these cars. As your only 23, expect to be grabbed by the short and curly's
