Original Simtek Update?
Just a quick one to see if there has been any news on an update for the original simtek? I did read somewhere on here about it being in the pipeline but couldn't find any other info as to whether it was going ahead or when it will be available?

It's on the horizon, allegedly a bit closer than before and in final testing.
So when is anyone's guess.

Will the update be free or at a cost?

And more to the point will the update require a remap?
If so what will be the implications of having to send the ECU off for an update, if a remap is required then how do you drive the car to the RR, mapping location etc?

I would imagine at a cost.
How could it be free?

Maybe the updates will be loaded on to the ECU but only fine tuned when your mapper sorts it?!

I think they may as well not bother, as business is going down the bog for them after this farce.
I for one will never buy a simtec again.

I been waiting for a Syvecs, however if this goes down then Simtek it is. With this update Simtek would be complete. Its not that bad of a ECU apart from the idle issues, not having knock control etc.

All quiet on the Western front as they say, at least we are one day closer to the solution anyway.
