Default MOT on Saturday - basics covered but anything else?

Had the bug over 3 weeks now and having the MOT on Saturday.

I know to check all the basics like lights, tyres , brakes etc. Is there anything extra I should be checking especially as the MOT rules got tougher in January ?

Thanks

Pete

Warning lights, seat adjustment, mirror adjustment, airbags, HIDs - all changes for the new MOT although they should only get an advisory before 1 Apr

Speak to the garage and get them to put it on the emission tester as soon as you arrive. Prior to this give it a good run to get everything warmed up. A few good hard accelerations will help to clear the system and get the Cat(s) nice and hot).

I am getting it done early so it's out of the way. I bought it with 2 months remaining, no big deal!

Def worth having this done if you can, the guy that done mine said that scoobies tend to struggle with the emmission tests at the best of times

Update: passed without a hitch, just advised me on my strengthened wheel nuts could be an issue as they stick out too much- need to change these for normal ones I think.

Happy
