Default has anyone got classic running on 6speedbox

hi can anyone tell me how there classic is running with 6speedbox
is the car any easyer to run with 6speed and whats gearing like. would do again . is some feed back please and if anyone wants do test see what car rev to on 6speed at 60mph.

i hate the 6 speed ratio's, much prefer the 5 speed uk ratio's. its a very persoanl thing though.

I have the 6-speed, BUT I also have a 2.5 litre forged engine running roughly 400/400.

So, with all that torque, no need to change gear much about town anyway.

As for gear ratios, 80mph indicated on French motorways is almost spot on 3000rpm.
So 60 would be 2250rpm.
Even 80 is WAY off boost. And yes, I CAN see 30mpg on a journey like that.
If I can stop my right foot being tempted by all that power and torque.

have one in my classic although was 2.5 with 420/430 and its great.

its in my new 2.1 also. good move imo

not sure what it be like on a classic with standard power

6 spped jap in my short quick ratio 70 mph at arond 3 grand six gear not for evey ones taste but i love it the uk six speed box is longer

JDM 6 speed on my 2.1classic and all the gear changeing is abit anoying,though i find i can skip gears when driveing normaly.I wish i had gome UK 6 speed tbh as 6th gear is too low.

got a jap v7 sti jap spec 6 speed in mine but as above running a built 2.5 with big power i love it though, i have drove many classics before and after we have converted them and i think it transforms the car totally making them nicer to drive, if you need any help pm me buddy

go for a uprated 5 speed box instead as the the gearchange will drive u crazy !!
