Could Not Put Up With That Blue Carpet Any Longer
Hi All,
I am loving the new car but even though it is bright blue on the outside the inside has the nastiest blue carpet in the world. On my old black STI I put up with it but always said I wish I had bought a blue one so the carpets matched, I bought a blue one and I still hate it so this weekend . . . . . .
Out came all the seats and trims - took no more than 30 mins, I wish all cars were this easy to work on!!!
In goes the carpet
A quick bit of flattening out and it started to look better
Then a good hoover and . . .
I think it looks much better as does everyone that has seen it so far, not to everyones taste I am sure but it cost £30 and a dull Saturday morning.
Chris

The Blue just looks cheap IMHO, it is not a good match with the blue in the door cards nor does it fit that well with the overall colour scheme so I took the plunge. I am sure many people love the blue but that is the great things with these cars, often if you dont like it you can just change it.

Looks waaaay better in black.
Just need to do the seats and door cards now :-)
Don't suppose you weighed the standard seats while they were out???
I'm very interested to know what the standard seats weigh, including the rails etc...

Looks good, but have come from a plain RS focus interior Black & grey.
It was the Blue contrast that swayed me to buy the STI.It does look
good though, fair play for being different.
