Question

Hi, new MY99 owner, totally in love with the car, and was wondering is SIDC worth joining? It's only £20, but worth asking though!

Well worth it Scotsman If you would like to do track days, then it is a must and you will also benefit from a number of dealers and suppliers who offer discounts (normally 10%) to SIDC members. I save more than 20 quid a year just from the discount Cheam Motors offer on parts and servicing.

Cheers
Chris

Same reply, I've just saved £30 getting my import serviced and after reading articles in True Grip (SIDC quarterly mag) I've decided to do my first trackday with them in June.

It is easily worth the £20pa but I would say that if you have a U.K. car there are more discounts available (due to official dealers).

Content of True Grip seems to be very UK-biased as well IMHO.

But regardless, worth £20 of anyone's money!

Thanks

Gavin

We have 142 new members waiting for the startup packs. As soon as we get our supplies in they'll go out the door rapido !

Paul, the way things are going the magazine will be produced *more* often, not less :-)

We have lots of dealers participating in the 10% discount scheme, and when the remainder see all their colleagues listed I'm sure they'll join up too

I really must join. Pulled of the application documents in May 98 when I got the Scoob, had them on my desk for 17 months, all filled in, but I never carry a cheque book, so the inconvenience of finding a cheque has just been too much...

doh

Dave,

worry no more, as the SIDC will soon be able to accept credit cards for on-line payment of membership and renewals
