Default lighter/holder impreza classic

today i pulled my tomtom cable out of the lighter socket and it pulled the socket out so then i took the ashtray out and couldnt quite get to it so took out the lower dash small part where the stereo is so i could get to it better. ive worked out how it attaches back and that there is a green cable that plugs in the bottom and also 2 cable to the green light inside it but after putting it all back theres no power to the socket just the light comes on, i checked the small fuse wire on the base on the holder and its not blown and checked the fuses in the engine bay all ok is there anything else i should check or im missing...?

The fuse for the lighter socket should be under the drivers side of the dash, it is on my early classic.

I've fitted a new socket for the satnav/phone charger in mine, it's on the SIDE of the centre plastic trim, facing into the passenger footwell. Makes life easier.
