Default Pretty please

As i have posted on a different thread,i have bought myself a 2005 STI PPP.
Iv'e been told that it is probably a blob ?. Any way i have done searches till
i am bog-eyed,and i am still trying to get my head round the jargon for your models
and power upgrades . Please help what are the following.

1. STI Pinks ? (injectors )
2. V34 /35 ? ( Turbo )
3. STI Up pipe ? ( de-cat )
4. Pro-drive down pipe ? (de-cat )
5. STI top mount ??? (engine mount )

Sorry for being so dumb but what do i need to change and what can
i keep for a good reliable 350/330 ?? performance.

1. I beleive the engine is up to the job, forged parts? whats forged and is it up to job for 350/330.

2. I believe the 6 speed gear box is OK ?.

3. Is an exhaust needed,or just part. What needs to be changed if anything.

4. Some people are saying K&N,some are saying not ??.

5. Some are saying bigger Turbo, some are saying not ??.

Any other kind of help woul be gratefully excepted.

Cheers
Gary.

sti pinks are your in injectors
vf/34/35 is your turbo
your up pipe is from your exhaust manifold upto the bottom of your turbo
ive got a classic scooby but would say pro-drive down pipe will have a sports cat, allows for freer flow of exhaust gases
your sti top mount if your intercooler

as for running 350bhp my mates got a blob eye sti, and got 348bhp with a de-cat(no catalitic covertor) and a re-map

hope this helps wiggy1

Hi Gary

You have all ready those parts which you are said:
1. STI Pinks 550cc (injectors )
2. V35 ( Turbo )
3. STI Up pipe ( de-cat )
4. Pro-drive down pipe (de-cat )
5. STI top mount

Your engine is OK up to 400-450bhp if its treated and serviced well, for piece of mind visit your nearest Subaru Specialist and ask him for health check(AFR,Compression etc.)

Yes 6 speed its OK for your power what are you looking,i would maybe upgrade your clutch

Exhaust depends on your budget, but personally i would replace exhaust for decatted items.

K&N ,Green cotton are mostly used and are good too..

Turbo depends for how much bhp you are looking,if you are looking for 330-350bhp your turbo is up to job,for more above 350bhp you have unlimited option, limited is by your budget

Thank you for some straight forward answers. No diss-respect
to anyone,or the make, but jeees it is complicated from the outside.
Everything seems to be be the same - ish as what i'm use to but the
jargen/wording is so different. What Bar/PSI do you run your cars
boost at.Is it controlled by a amal valve, Blitz, dream science or the like.
or a direct set up from the actuater.I used to run the RS at 22PSI settling
at 20psi.some guys would run at 26psi and above with no problems.

Cheers

Hi there

Boost on VF35 should be around 0.8-1bar as for standard/OEM and 1.3-1.5bar as for mapped car.

About the boost control, your ECU can control boost up to 1.6bar without the going for aftermarket boost controller

Cheers again.I will be looking for a good mapper up my end
of the country, and it seems like Andy Carr is well thought of.
I will have a chat with him some time soon and see what he
advises and how much his advise will cost .

Cheers
