The possibilties are endless pal... you first need to decide on what power you want... then plan your mods around that.

Have an end goal and dont map it untill you have fettled with all you want to fettle with!

I have a 2001 bug-eye waggon, and mine is being done as I type at the most excellent Scoobyclinic...

Full exhaust
De-cat up pipe
re-map

+ other boring stuff.

Hopefully picking up tonight and my right foot is itching

Hello and welcome matey and if you want above 300bhp,i would recommend:

VF30/VF34/VF35

STi Pink injectors/Hawkeye Blue WRX injectors,

STI TMIC

Walbro or HRC 255lph fuel pump

Decatted exhaust with decatted up pipe(personally i would recommend Harvey Up pipe)

3-port boost solenoid

Remap(OS or EcuTek)

And with those parts you should see 330bhp at least

Really? As Jura has said with all those parts you can easy reach 330bhp and I have done the same thing. I think the list is endless if you want to start building those horses up.

Second that mate - have a 2001 bugeye and have done a fair bit of research on what I need to push past the 300 figure.

Yes it would've made sense to get an STI but if you ended up with a WRX (like me) then there's nothing stopping you pursuing the love affair

You'll find that once you get to 340-350 you can get further but the limiting factor will be the strength of your gearbox! The 5spd seem to be weaker than those found in the later models - might be worth factoring in £2k for a 6 speed upgrade later down the line

Thats why i said much! over 300 you can get as much power as you want but your gearbox/clutch/bottom end will last 5 minutes and by the time youve forged your bottom end put a 6 speed and decent clutch in your talking sti money thats the point i was making. i have a wrx myself.
