Default Hi newbie here.

Just like to say a quick hello from over the sea. I love this site lots of info. Hopefully I will be able to post a few questions now that I joined. I am on a month trial first though. My car is a 00 wrx Sti type r I only have it on the road 2 months now and I love it. I will get up some photos once I get to know this site better.

No.

All MY97-00 WRX saloons And Version III-VI WRX STi's had the same 280PS (276bhp).

But the DCCD-equipped Type R (and Type RA) have the ultra low ratios, so those cars feel even more rapid on acceleration.

I learn something new everyday. Can u tell if it's true or false that some people change 5 gear on the low ratio box for motorways and long journeys

True!

There're a few members on here with Type Rs and RAs that have replaced their OEM short 5th gear for a UK Turbo 2000 AWD's longer 5th, for that very reason!

What is it like for the 99 ron fuel out there in Ireland? these cars are mapped for 100 ron in japan so realistically cannot take much lower than that or it can cause engine damage, an ecutek remap for 95 is advisable if you cannot get anything near 100 ron and I would suggest a Phormula KS3 and maybe a new maf sensor to be on the safe side (any mods?)

Few mods not many though and I don't know if the car was ever mapped. I run 100% petrol + octaine boost

The exhaust is a n1 and it's straight through from the turbo.
