Default FAULT CODE P0031 HELP

HI i had couple faults wit my 2001 bugeye wrx one was maf which i got new one and has fixed it but have another code p0031 which was told 1st lambda sensor which i replaced with a universal one but code still there n think it running bit worse ,,,do universal ones work or need get genuine one or is this not the fault , thanks

buy cheap and buy twice as above denso ones are the best aftermarket cheap ones often dont work or fail quickly

Iv heard others use universal ones and all is ok but may not last as long,i used a denso one mate on my 02 sti and was only £100 so not too bad.could be the wiring thats at fault but would need to be checked out to confirm.

Bugeye uses a pseudo wideband sensor and therefore the ECU looks for the OEM jobby and doesn't like universal (narrow band) jobbies............
