Toyota coming in at 25k and subaru haven't announced yet but I would imagine a couple of K dearer and also waiting to see of and when the sti is coming out like the concept at the USA show
Great car and the future of subaru I think
Looks like red will be my first choice of colour
Just want the big wing on it
Most likely it will be te BRZ for me

Just hope subaru don't make another mistake and price it at silly money. 25k is the benchmark so fingers crossed.
Not sure that Subaru have a solid future in the UK but i am another that will be taking a close look and waiting for further news on the STI variant.

Spoke to my dealer about it the other day.... taking pre-pre-orders now, first test drives in April, first deliveries in September. Price will be more than the Toyota but not too much by all accounts. Colours will be as per WRX STI - fancy one in black myself.

The Toyota seems rather underpowered to me. So if the scooby is the one with more grunt then that would be the one to go for imo!
Should be taking delivery of some FT86s at work in june i should imagine, so ill get some snaps up when they arrive!

Talked to some Subaru guys today and it seems they are going to aim for as close to Toyota as possible but they feel that the BRZ is a superior product so it's highly unlikely that they will undercut Toyota.

Subaru are making both and as they are the same car, it wouldn't matter if one went bust as you could just get parts from the other.

The Subaru is supposed to have a slightly stiffer suspension setup though so no doubt this is what they will quote to justify the extra cost as stiffer springs are more expensive after all

It'll definitely be more than the Toyota, of that I've been assured. However, the rumour I hear is that Subaru UK are quite pleased with the pricing that Toyota announced so I'm lead to believe it won't be too much more.

Not sure why it should be, they're going to build both - unless they plan on using the Toyota half of the production line to train the technicians on or leave the odd bolt undone.

I saw the BRZ in the flesh thanks to West Mids Imprezas meet and the first thing I thought after seeing the engine bay....
Who is going to bethe first to drop an EJ20 turbo lump in there
In the flesh the car is not that big compared to other modern coupes, roughly the same size as the outgoing Celica model. Apparently the idea to go n/a was to keep wight down!
1250kg for a modern car is damn impressive.
Plus the oil filter is mounted at the top of the engine bay too.

From what we were told the BRZ has the lowest COG in the world bar the 458 and the Ariel Atom, which is damn impressive. The COG is below your knee when driving.
