Hi
all of us already reading about exhaust systems.
however, i have a doubt concerning diameters of pipes;this is, when we are talking 2" or 3" down pipe or something like that, does it mean inside or outside diameter? i presume it referes to inside diameter but not sure.
could someone skilled in the matter clarify?.
thanks in advance
regards

The size is usually refering to the Internal Diameter (ID) of the pipe... on scoobies, it tends to be 2.5" or 3".
The "Mandrel" bending process you may have heard about is a method of bending pipes without causing a reduction in the internal diameter, so a 3" mandrel bent exhaust system would maintain a 3" internal diameter throughout (unless, as with the Power Engineering T75 system, it drops to 2.5" at the end of each exhaust section).
