Default calipers urgently needed :(

hi all, today was another bad day for me and my scoob "2002 wrx" !!!
i took it to my mechanic to get my discs and pads fitted only to find out all the pad retaining pins were seized in !! so i bought a new set for front and rear in stainless steel costing me 40 quid the lot took it back to finish the job only to find all pistons on both front calipers badly rusted and seized we fitted the new discs and pads but only just got the pads in as pistons dont go back in enough ! i cant drive my car as i dont want to warp my new discs and ruin the pads !! money is really tight so im after a set of "working " front standard 4 pots to fit 2002 wrx please , any help would be greatly appretiated

just looked at an old thread on here regarding the refurb by godspeed .
it looks like the way to go but really hard for me to leave car without calipers fitted ! would like to get new ones then its just a case of simply swapping . i like the idea of the stainless pistons and everything included in the refurd though and know they top boys . hmmmn tuff

Would still need the same money mate as I don't need the discs or pads anymore so was literally going to throw them away if you take the calipers.

the thing is thinking about it a bit more , is that all factory 4 pots have mild steel pistons which "will" seize eventually so they would need doing again ! proper ball ache this one !! sorry scubbay ill pass im afraid but thanks for offer mate i appretiate it

Mate, if you fit Ian's refurbed calipers, you can just drive the car afterwards. No problems.

If you haven't bled them, don't drive it, but it is easy enough to do yourself
