Default Looking at this Sunday

Im looking at the car below Sunday, Does anyone know anything about the car, Its had 3 previous owners, Any thoughts??

6 months tax just topped up.

2.5 IMPREZA STI UK with 55000 miles, NEW 6 month tax just topped up till 1st July 2012, Mot till 11th March 2012, with Full service history.

It is a 55 plate, registered on December 2005 so cheaper tax bracket. (12 months tax is £215 instead for £400+)

The car is running 352bhp and 341lbft which was Dynoed at Olive Attowe Engine tuning on the 30/01/2010 and comes with the full Dyno report.

The car has the professional modification packages by PowerStation UK Ltd. (http://www.powerstation.org.uk/subaru_tuning.asp#)
Here is the list of modifications purchased

* Street Legal Package (EcuTek Re-Map, 3" Milltek Exhaust with Sports CAT, K&N Filter ~340bhp/340lbft) @ £1,643.83

* PowerStation Stage 3 - T25 Spec Kit set (AST Sport-Line Suspension kit, Rear Adjustable Roll Bar, Anti-Lift Kit, Front Adjustable Roll Bar, 4-Wheel Alignment) @ £1.991.63 - You can adjust the front and rear suspension so that you can have it either on soft or hard. Great stuff!

The above suspension kit is the same kit used in the Litchdield T25! so you know its good!

That's a total of £3,635.46

THE ABOVE SPEC IS FAR SUPERIOR TO A PRODRIVE PERFORMANCE PACK!!!

The car is currently owned by me (lady owner).
The vehicle highly benefits from being fully main Subaru dealer serviced as needed in the service book and having only covered 55,000 miles for its age with super-unleaded fuel used and lower tax band. Also brand new battery and Bridgestone tyres all round. It is my secondary car intended for weekend use but has rarely been used, the car has always been kept garaged and filled up with SUPER UNLEADED FUEL ONLY (comes with ALL my receipts)

The bodywork is excellent condition with no dents or rust, although it does have a few stone chips at the front and on the splitter. I will give you a FREE brand new splitter with the car aswell. The interior is immaculate (no smoking) with top off the range 2008 Sony head unit fitted, there are also a full set of luxury carpet mats with STI logo. The car has always been washed, clay barred, polished and waxed with only my Meguiars collection of detailing products.

The car comes with the usual STI goodies - Air-con, Brembo brakes, 17" gold wheels, high wing rear spoiler, intercooler jet etc.
If you are looking at this type of car, you will know what it is, what it has, and certainly what it does!

If you don't, then prepare to be amazed!

Documents at hand
Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C)
All previous MOT test certificates (VT20)
All previous Tax discs
All Subaru main dealer service invoices
Dastek Dynamometer report & invoice
PowerStation UK Ltd. Invoices
All Super-Unleaded fuel receipts
HPI check report
and other sales receipts

Comes with all 2 sets of keys (good and clean condition)
Extra / spare front splitter lip (brand new)
Spare set of stock rear brake pads (used)
Front lower sti (rally) grill
Mud guards
Sony head unit
Brand new battery
Battery cover
Strut brace
Richbrook tax disc holder
Perrin engine cover
Perrin wing Spoiler Stiffi fins
Genuine SPEC-C front splitter with STI badge
Brand new both rear EBC BlueStuff endurance race brake pads highest range (just fitted)
Front brake pads are EBC RedStuff (fitted last 8 months ago)
Carbon fibre wing mirror covers
All round decent set of tyres, good in the wet

The car has Mot till 11th March 2012,

This is a very reluctant sale, and only down to the fact that I am not using it enough due to having other vehicles.

Not what I'd choose for the front set of a 350bhp impreza. I'd match the blues up on the back.

Cheers Duncan,

I haven't does Clive keep records on file? I spoke to powerstation yesterday to find out when all the mods were carried out and to see what there new about the car, The mods were all fitted at 6500 miles back in 2006

I may give Clive a ring see what he thought to the car

I would be very careful and have it compression/ sniff tested before parting with anything like 10k, even if it costs a couple of hundred quid, as it could turn out to be money well spent.

Not saying anything bad about the 2.5 but the issues are well documented, and it would be wise to check.

As for what people thought of it 6yrs and 50k ago not relevant.

Looks nice enough, and i'm sure you will be happy if it's a good un, but the 2.5 is not popular and this should be reflected in the price especially if as someone above suggested, it's been for sale for a while.

If you plan on modding i'd look at the 20.l but if your leaving it as is then go for it.

I plan to leave the car as it is, Rob84 told me to take it for a good drive and get it nice and hot to check the coolant level etc,

The car is less than 10k

Yeah - he does or he or dan may remember the car - quite likely tbh

Did he put his normal sticker under the bonnet for the dyno results ? If so he has a little indicator on there if there was any problems - he can talk you through that I am sure.

Ok cool, i'd still be inclined to have AA/ RAC inspection,as they both do compression tests, not sure what it costs these days but it's cheaper if you join which is a wise move anyway, i'd not be without it as the cost of repair / recovery should the worst happen far out weigh the cost of membership.

But as i always say, it's not my money so what do i care.

MOT is up in March.
I would ask them to MOT it before you buy.It should not be a problem if they have faith in the car.

Looks like a very good car if all the info is pukka.

Looks like a good car and good spec, if it is as described would be perfect as common mods already done so nothing else to spend on it. Exactly the reason I bought my jdm as it was already above the spec of my previous car so has saved me a fortune in all those monthly outlays for bits.

I went to view the car this morning arrived at 10.40am as traffic was clear, told her about 11, we pulled up to find the car is parked on the side of road, covered in snow and filthy dirty, I knocked on the door lady came to door just woken up, I'm sorry a bit early, I was told I'm to early she needs to get ready for work and just shut door, so looked round the car to find the front bumper has been poorly resprayed and overspray over front headlights, few debts in side skirts, damage to a couple of alloys, very low tread on rear tyres etc etc, I knocked on the door and got no answer so walked away, i then sent her a message to say we will give it a miss to which she replied why? I said not as described, her really well it's a used car not brand new it's as described,

I wouldnt pay anymore than 7k for this, I know I'm fussy but this was bad, Avoid
