Vinyl wrap or respray?

Vinyl wrap or respray?
Hi,
the body of my DBM bugeye has seen better days (slight scratches all over due to using an abrasive to remove something ).
I'm torn between getting it resprayed or getting a vinyl wrap done.
Does anybody have pic's of matt black wraps? I know it'll generate a few comments on here
Also - how easy is to do yourself? I know it requires patience.
Finally - what do they do with the edges of the wrap? Like the door sides etc? Does it look ugly when you start opening doors and seeing random bits of finish or am I being stupid?!

Like has been said, to wrap it you need to prep the panels first as the wrap will HIGHLIGHT any problems. That said, if you can get the surface nice & flat it will definitely be an improvement.
As for your door checks, you cannot wrap those areas properly as it will just come off. We spray those areas with a matt black spray paint which is identical in colour to the wrap!
This is a 206 (with Subaru engine) we wrapped in matt black
This is a Mercedes we wrapped... (it was a rusty silver mess before we did it)
This is a white Impreza rally car we wrapped in matt black... http://www.eclipse-performance.com/motorsport/146

Does the spray you do on the door's come off or is it permanent? Just wondering what'd happen when you went to take the wrap off?
Also - approx how much would it be for a full matt black wrap on an Impreza? I know it depends on the vinyl but if you can give me a rough idea?
I see you're located in Sunderland - any locations in West Mids?
thanks

Hi mate. We can do a complete Impreza for £1,300.
The paint is semi permanent. i.e. it will stay on until you work hard with thinners to remove it!
We're only based here in Sunderland. Its not a bad journey here to be honest. You can leave your car for about 1 week and it will all be done.
We can also arrange for cars to be collected & re delivered. We had 1 picked up in Bournemouth today which only cost £200!!
