Subaru Or This...
My insurance for a year at my age is roughly £4500 for a 1996 WRX STI Silver.
Insurance for this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-TT-22...#ht_1058wt_937
would be £2000 a year.. Which one? I like the shape of both, the TT isn't much slower than a Scooby, 220bhpish, sti being 280bhp. Torn between the two.

On your Moneysupermarket thread the Impreza was your dream car. Whats happened since then?
I personally think you would be crazy to pay £4k+ for insuring a 15yr old scooby which makes it an easy choice hair dresser jibes aside

Try getting insurance on a newer car mate, they tend to fair better due to better safety and security. The insurance cpmpanies see a 15yr old classic scoob as a higher risk than a newgae car

sounds like a confused young boy.
this was a previous quote from him
It's a 1996 Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Admiral quote between £4,200 and £4,800 depending on the day I do it :S.
Everyone who's going to take the **** do it now, I can afford to pay that so I'm paying it for my dream car, don't judge please .
then within ten mins i might get a tt or a mondeo.

man with the dilema....
i just bought my first scooby..... i went thru the same dilema , yeah i wanted a performance AWD , and 4x4 trucks are grotesque.
my dilema scooby v tt v volvo turbo 4x4 .
i tried them all.
volvo........im not a fish,,,gimme licence back and let me out.
tt....... get in (on the floor) no space inside,no low ratio , and its just a posing mobile , all glitter - no go , no thanks adolf u kan keep it.
scooby.....lines to die for , engine noise (ahhh) , and immense grip in the corners + the rough stuff , , , yes please i want this one.
.
In reality , there is no choice. next car will have the BIG spoiler. LoL x
I have seen TT get stuck on snow, but freelanders /scoobies get thru.

I cant understand why these young blokes are so impatient. Why spend 4k + insurance, high road tax, huge petrol bills ect at such a young age just to drive a performance car. Is it an ego thing?
Why not drive a normal car so your not working for your car. This money could be spent on a mortgage or something that will go up in value.
Damn ,im sounding like my dad lol

I am however knocking one with a scooped bonnet, sti badges and electric speakers making waste gate noises!
I like cars that are wolves in sheeps clothing! a turbo replica NA isnt quite a sheep, more like an angry goat! but whatever it is its wearing a wolf skin coat!

And illegal. If the insurance company can prove that the second named driver spends most of the time using the car then they invalid the insurance. It's the reason honest people have their insurance loads!
And mentioning it on an open website really helps!!!!!

How come your insurance is that high? I'm 21 and when I filled out the insurance form to see how much it is for a 2006/2007 impreza, it was £1600 with both my parents on the policy as well as 2nd drivers.
If you've used a compare website, don't -they're totally ****.
Go onto aviva and admiral and fill in their quotes directly.

My sport is going up for sale, MOT getting done next week, got WRX seats, wheels, spoiler and springs as well as a nice loud exhaust. Never misses a beat.
