OK the question is what is my car worth.
1993 Imprort WRX with 74,000K, its silver & on a 'K' plate & in good condition, has a HKS exchaust system, induction kit, & loud dump valve, has a SS 3 inch down pipe, a helix clutch & 8kg flywheel which were replaced about 2.5 thousand K's ago.
I need to work out its real value for insurance purposes, I have seen some sold for £5k but that sound very cheap, personaly the car is work £20k to me.
Reason is my insurance has just come up for renewal, the current insurance co has just told me that they will no longer quoat on any scooby due to the losses.
I have has several heart failures at the new quoatations, so am wondering if its worth 3rd party F&T if anyone is willing on go wit that.
As per a lot of notes on this thread, if you are going to say something stupid please french connection united kingdom off.
Cheers
Stuart.

...and it's rare that you will find a policy with a gauranteed payout - though they ask for your car's value, they will not give you this if you have to claim. They will usually offer you what they consider to be "market value" (which it rarely is )
Speak to Tom Butler @ Schofield as it sounds like you might need a specialist policy.

Well I'm by no means an expert, but:
You can get agreed value policies. However these are normally used for exotic/classic cars and I'm not sure your Scoob would qualify in the harsh an unemotional world of the underwriter.
Similarly I would guess you will have to search quite hard to get TPF&T cover. If an increasing proportion of their losses result from theft the balance between premium & risk wont be too attractive
