Quickest way to find out what people are paying is to do a search of the autotrader website

Price wise yes. But you could have servicing and warranty problems. The only reason I bought a P1 over an STI 5 Type R, was the warranty and servicing network.
I'm probably going to upset some people by saying this, but a lot of STI imports (old shape) are stolen in Japan. Whatever you do, don't get one that's been anywhere near Dubai.

I know of a P1 that was at a Saab Dealer in Northampton and when I inquired they said I could have it for 19,500.
38,000 miles.
But very well looked after, by a member of this board, who now has a Saab

Im quite pleased the P1 residuals havent dropped like a stone, if you listened to P1 knockers you'd think they were giving them away.
I also had a sti5typeR before i had the p1. Although it was a lovely car, i really never came to terms with it. As a non track driver and an everyday user i wasn't happy with the rear wheel feel driving, esp in the wet, and the manual diff control was just a pain. I traded my 3 year old sti in for a brand new P1 and gave them £13000 on top. I feel it was a good deal. I got full subaru warranty, perfect handling car for my uses, 17" gold wheels, all important blue paint , a subtle redesign by Peter Stevens and a car that hopefully will fair better than standard imprezas to depreciation.
For me it was a better option to get a P1 over keeping the sti R, but i'd never suggest it would be a better option for everybody.
