Default Tuning a v5 sti.

Hi all I'm thinking of doing a few bits to improve my cars performance. At the moment its completely standard apart from a cat back exhaust. I'm not going to chase any big figures I would just like a little more torque, would I see any difference getting a remap what's available? I'd prefer not to decat it for mot reasons.

Would think
1) Walbro or HRC fuel pump
2) Uprated air filter (cone or panel)
3) Maybe uprated injectors ( 550's)
And maybe a remap !
Should see a marked improvement

A decent fuel pump
Panel filter
Cat/decat back exhaust

That and a remap should give you around 320bhp on the standard vf28

No one can answer that accurately for you mate as every car/engine is different and figures even with the same turbo fitted would be varied.

Loved my vf28 when it was at its max, great little turbo.

As above Duncan reckoned my V5 type r was between 320-330. Mods being, rcm induction kit, 3inch decat exhaust, zero sports intercooler splitter and simtek. All I'll say is that it flys!
