Newage STI intercooler - Remap??
Want to fit one of these to my 2006 WRX.
I have already had my car mapped with sports cat, fuel pump etc fitted but want to know if I need it mapped again when I change the intercooler?
I may well be changing the turbo and getting some other bits fitted but still undecided.
I prefer the under bonnet look of the bigger intercooler so want to get one regardless.

I wouldn't have thought the extra cooling capacity of the inter cooler would need a remap as the ecu would calculate fuelling and ignition based on pressure and temperature, but maybe more timing could be added due to cooler charge, but after above post have learnt something myself. I would take advice of above and at least get it checked over.

i wouldn't bother as the gain for outlay is not worth it, the only way you will get a worthwhile gain is fmic as the sti tmic is not so much better than the wrx on a hawk, i doubt that you would see more than 15bhp and it will cost close to £500 with a map tweek which is front mount money abd with a bigger turbo you can go upto 400bhp theres chopperman running 470 on a hawk wrx.
People wanting far too much for sti top mounts and dont forget you need the scoop and undertray as well.
