Default Quick header tank question

Just replaced my leaking plastic version for the facelift alloy one. just wondered when cold wjat should the level in the tank be. Its just that I filled it full and once hot was coming out of cap. It seems happier half full

im no expert but my98 uk was always full to the brim

wonder if i have a defective cap? its defo not the head gasket as its just been done with cometic stainless layered ones. i'll fill up again but am pretty sure it'll just overflow. why it doesnt flow into the plastic bottle in the wing i have no idea....

Sounds like a faulty cap to me

my blobeye only gets filled to half way..on the full cold mark
