Default 2011 WRX Sti - Missing Piece?

I was washing my car before Christmas and the foam piece with a short piece of double sided tape in the photo below, fell out through the front bottom grill. I am assuming it should be somewhere behind the fog light? Does anyone know where it should go and how important it is to go back? Please don't tell me it is vital and I have to take the front bumper off!

Item marked in red......................

Attaches either side of lower opening assumingly to help direct air into the rad and not into the wheel arches.
Have had to stick mine back in with some heavier double sided tape. (yours seems to lacking in it)

Thanks Don. So they sit directly behind the front bumper and span to the rear closing off the sides either side of the front opening i.e. sitting vertically running from front to rear if that makes any sense?

Yep, the other side should still be in there, they sit a little way in out of direct view

The numbers shown on the drawing are the "part code" numbers NOT the actual "part number".

You obviously don't know the system well enough.

ps microfiche went out with the arc..........
