Default help!!!

help!!!!!

i took the missus to the shops this morning was sitting with engine warming up waiting on her coming down, exhaust has been quite smoky for the last few weeks noticibly so in fact. so took her to morrisons and im sitting with the engine running to get some heat and i notice a puff of smoke through the scoop! wtf i thought so poped the bonnet for a look and there is odd whisps of smoke from down around the turbo and down pipe!!!! ****!!!! is my turbo on its way out? ive had the 100 cell sportcat a k&n panel filter fitted for a while and a z4 ecu as well. timing belt was done at andys at RA motorsport roughly 6 months ago as well as the front crank seal so oil, filter and coolant was all changed at the time. i did suspect the rocker at the drivers side was leaking and had planned to get it done from andy as there was a smoky smell through the heaters and i know the drivers side tend to go but this is something new as far as im aware. could it be the rear crank seal going as well now? heard they are more of a pain to do as its a gearbox out job? i have a apexi and commander to go on and be mapped in the new year so ive not been driving like a nutter or anything as i know the mods were needing mapped to the car. cheers for any ideas

Most likely to be the rear of the o/s rocker cover seal. Oil driops onto the headers, comes up past the turbo.

If it not as above check the oil return from the turbo to the head clip not on right they can be a swine to get on in the right place.
Fingers crossed for ya m8 and its something silly like a clip

Just going to drop this in but go with the other suggestions.

There could be excess water that has dropped on to the heat shield of the turbo. The water thats left in the engine bay freezes and then melts when the car gets warm.

Thats what happened to me and when I opened up the bonnet even more smoke because more water fell onto the turbo. I paniced but then found out what it was lol.
