Question

OK guys, go easy on me. I'm new to "performance" cars, having just bought a '99 Scooby with ScoobySport back box. Mostly stock otherwise except a better air filter. My question is, why does the engine "sing" when I change gear under heavy acceleration? Is it the turbo or the clutch? Is it normal? Is it OK? Or, do I need to improve my gear changes? Oh, while I'm at it - is it normal for Scooby catalytic converters to smell so bad?

What exactly do you mean by 'Sing'?

If it sings its best to take it back to garage. Tell em you will sue them unless they get it sorted!! Or have you put diesel in the car instead of petrol??
hope this helps
