What cages have you found for a newage, any links and what cage did you have in your classic?
There doesn't seem to be many cages for Impreza's really i find, for my classic as far as i'm aware you have either bolt in cages from Safety Devices, OMP or Custom Cages, Cusco cages seem to be about but you never get a lot of search results on them.
You can get fully welded in cages from them all also, not sure about Cusco.
The OMP is the cheapest, but unless fitting them yourself they aren't really cheap though.
As for newages cages though i can't find much apart from Custom Cages and Saftey Devices, and even then apparently the Safety Devices bolt in cage for the newage is the classic cage and doesn't fit that tidy, one of the bars by the roof is a bit low i've heard.

Thanks
Sam

I went for a weld in cage from nickson motorsport (http://www.nicksonmotorsport.co.uk). Very happy with the fit, and it was about 700 cheaper than the CC cage.

I looked for bolt in cages for ages, but the ones I could find all had either bends in the front legs, or the legs came down in front of the dash, or they were classic cages.

If you want a bolt in cage, nickson will do that also, and I think it works out a bit cheaper as well as there's much less welding and faffing about.

Rollcentre offer an MSA bolt in for the GDB. Theyll offer it in big tube too for a bit more. A complete cage will cost about £350 + VAT (but its not that clear on their new site).

Ive bought their rears before for a 944 (£160 exc.) but I went for a full Safety Devices this time as it was a good buy - but thats rare with SD.....

Few ideas at the moment guys.

Personally i think most people here with newage cars wanting a cage will not be competeing. Theyre most likely fast road/trackday guys that want a little extra should the worst happen.

With that in mind im thinking a bolt in a rear cage very much GT3 RS/R26-R style.
This will also be acceptable on the roads for most, as it poses no danger to the driver and insurance companies should also not throw a paddy about it.

My other idea is a full blown cage, but this is something i need to discuss with my cage builder. Its about time us newage boys had something available.

Obviously the MSA compliance will be looked into regarding the full cage.

Personally ive built my car as a fast road car with a track orientated theme, so the GT3 RS style, fit, finish and fuction is where im aiming at.

I'll keep you all posted in the new year.

If you offered a bolt in rear cage that bolts to existing mounting points but still provides proper rollover protection and harness mounting points I'd buy one TODAY.

Something like this would be ideal: http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_prod...d=3701&appid=3

Safety devices offer something similar for the classic but it looks a bit pathetic.
