I saw the CDF ones at a decent price in the group buy, look good quality but can't really see the point in them to be honest. Especially the rear one, I mean what are you gonna be pulling with your Impreza ??
Personally think they look kind of silly to be honest, each to their own though I guess.

You can if you have DCCD. Just wind the wheel all the way back into free diff.

So why can't you tow an AWD? Its no different to driving down the road and putting your foot on the clutch. As long as all 4 wheels are on the ground!

Correct me if I'm wrong!

I saw them as well seemed quite good and you know they are quility. I was going to buy the front and back but was put off by the pig logo.

Had a quick look on ebay and they are far cheaper but again you get what you pay for and if its just for the looks and not fuctionality then it doesn't really matter.

You can tow an AWD car- as long as all four wheels are on the road as has already been mentioned.

Problems come when you only have two on the road and two raised.......

But why is that specificly.

I remember when my tyre burst on the dual carrigway the RAC didn't tow it on two wheels they called the flatbed instead.

Because if the rear wheels are being turned and the fronts not, like on a dolly or lift tow, the box will go bang. They are designed for all 4 wheels to be turned, so when being towed it needs all 4 wheels to turn.

If it was a 2wd car then it could be lifted onto 2 wheels, then towed.

On a 2wd car you have one diff, splits the power form the box to the left and right driveshaft. On a 4x4 there is the centre diff which splits the power front and back, then a front and rear diff which splits the power down again to left and right. So if the rear of the centre diff is spun and the front isn`t it goes pop after a short while.

You CAN tow a 4x4 vehicle with the drive shafts out on two wheels, or with 4 wheels on the floor, but if you break down get a flatbed, saves any hassle.

For the new group buy I have just said we can make the custom , so that is with or without the pig logo or something else like our oil cap group buy

Cheers Chris
