around my way lately the local boy racers have things (cuddly toys etc)hanging off the rear towing eye.
any ideas what its all about or am i too old to understand??
They are from drifting "drift dice" comes from Japan where drifters would put dice or a cuddly toy hanging from the towing eye so they could see what angle they coud get the toy to whilst performing a drift.

im no boy racer and i got a smurf hanging off my motor tow...my son loves it
i just wondered what the reasoning behind it was as i have seen loads lately and mostly on the local "boy racers" cars i wasn't calling anyone anything.
that explains everything, they must be drifting at night in their 1.1 front wheel drive cars
LMAO i know, stupid isnt it! I think its become some kind of style thing now. Also hip hop/dubstep/rapper types started putting them in their music videos which no doubt inspired young people who like to think they are cool or a bit "gangsta" to put them on thier 1l diesel saxo's

na na mate i know your not calling me a boy racer ..i thought it was a bit chav but i only got it on there cos son laughs about it.lol bit dirty now so prob gonna pull it off anyway
so is the reason they think they are drifters or rappers??
lol
Well it comes from Japan and drifting, whether individuals motivation for hanging cuddly toys from thier car is that they are wanna be rappers or drifters I cant say lol
This summer I took part in a 3,000 mile driving holiday around Europe. There were nine cars in our convoy and we all had a Smurf as a mascot. Mine is still on the car today, but he's a bit dirty now!
If you look carefully you can just see him hanging on for dear life as I exit the Karussell...
