Lol! Makes me laugh! Really it should only be banter as we all hate skylines
Funny comments about been driven by chavs and been cheaper. My scoob definatly isnt cheap and my mate who lives a few rounds down from me is younger and owns an evo.
were both massivly into our cars so does it really matter.
we do tend to do opposites though. i had my focus RS. he had an astra VXR!

I loved this quote
All the video's I see of racing drivers in scoobs v evo, the evo loses by a BIG margin, as for a standard "9" outpacing a spec c just had to laugh at that, even a "9" 320 wasnt as quick as my standard Spec C, and that was when the 9 was released (evo greece track event, even went to cirencester to pick the evo 9 up from ccc )
I had a ride in it before most evo drivers did, and it definately didnt handle as well as a spec c
Tony
As for scoobys,I've owned one was a load of crap.driven by chav's now days! The bottom ends are poo, they understeer and I've seen many a video of Evo vs subaru on a track all stock the scoob never wins! Even the standard Evo 9 gsr catches the spec c! All driven by racing drivers so make of that what you wish.
Evo is a better car, more focused...scoob softer and more everyday friendly maybe...

Heres a great evo fact (by the way Lancia Delta Integrales were the original 'evos' Mitsubishi jumped on the bandwagon & hijacked the name)
The only single difference between a 'evo' 8 & an 'evo' 9 is the badge, yes thats right they changed the badge from an 8 to a 9,Thats indeed is evolution in Mitsubishis eyes.Impressive eh?
Cant deny some pretty trick tecnology going on,but **** me what a **** looking car,Taxi anyone?
Love Skylines tho,especially R34

must admit certainly had plenty off nods from evo drivers during my time off owning a scooby.I think the more mature owners realise that we are all performance car lovers and appreciate the whole scene, personally love the slightly older evos and would certainly like to add one to my car ownership cv should I ever get the chance!!!
just what are the differences in power between say a 2005 wrx and an evo off similar model, year?

they do handle like crap though , even the gtr i had was quite lacking in the corners to be honest compared to the scoob its the sound of the rb engine that took me love it and still do
evo's ,skyline's , scoob's , pulsar , glanza, rs turbo , cosworth etc arguments have gone on for years about my cars better than urs because of this , we should all accept (like most do on here ) that different cars hold there own distinctive pro's and con's
i look at an evo and if its nice ( or faster ) i would congratulate the owner of making a nice job of a nice car , as i would with any other enthusiast , i think the problem nowadays is that there are too many people that just buy the car , thrash it , cause a nuisance to other owners and enthusiast nand also give us a bad name
( namely the people who post bad comments about other makes and models of cars etc because they dont own one , i say if the shoe was on the other foot , what would u be saying then lol )
just my 2 pence worth

Am i right in thinking Evo's are transverse 4?. What sort of torque figures do Evo's produce in comparison to the BHP?.
If anything i think Evo's have the chav mentality, especially from the "younger" generation, as I'm 31 now .
"Get an Evo m8!" Had this discussion with 3 young lads at work last night, 2 of which don't drive.
Na, i think Subaru's have more character. That said, respec' to the Evo massive bruv!.

yes inline transverse four,
i have driven my friends evo and there is very little to choose between the two (mines an sti)
the snobery may come from there is no cheap version of the evo, where as cheaper versions of the impreza are available i.e. the wrx and the evo will be by far the faster car.
before anyone starts i am not knocking the wrx its a good car and im comparing standard cars here and on the road.
