Trust you are enjoying it.
Yes, 17" wheels will go on, but the Forester uses an ET48 offset, so you may find the range available very limited.
Scoobysport do the MIM range, or Subaru have their own version but check out their prices :O
If you go to this size then swapping to the Imprezza 4 pot brakes is easy, or even go up to Godspeed 305mm.

John, forgot to mention. The std tyres are S&M which may be fine if you do actually do a bit of off roading. If not then ditch them and get some Toyos etc.

Yep, we have one too, and very pleased with it we are. Different to our Impreza, but somehow very much the same! Makes for a very enjoyable motorway cruiser. If we were keeping it longterm, would upgrade suspension and change Geolanders - transforms the car according to EVO magazine. However, will probably upgrade to the new model when it comes out at end of this year.

I've got one (S-turbo), they do go pretty well. Just watch for the traditional forester trait of horrendous understeer in the wet at slow speeds. Haven't done any motorway stuff yet, but am going to next week (1300 miles according to autoroute express!)
You''l find that this board isn't much use for help, but the i-club forester forum is quite good.
As to wheels and tyres, 18's are definately possible!
