Default Advice - rear centre section on jdm sti ??

Okay guys looking for a bit off quick advice here from those in the know ??!!

okay a ninja resonated centre section from a JDM blobeye sti - twin scroll will it fit a non jdm blobeye wrx ??

http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...0/IMG_0643.jpg

seller - Matt R advises his car being a twin scroll has three parts - down pipe / centre section and rear box, obviously my non twin scroll has down pipe / rear cat/decated section/centre pipe and the backbox itself.

does this mean that the centre section would have to be longer on a twin scroll jdm to compensate for there being no rear cat / decat section - bit confused by it all ??!!

as I say a quick deffinate answer would be great !!!

cheers guys.

Are you only buying the centre section or will you be fitting a down pipe?

Doesnt say much
Right, if he still has the original cat then it wont fit, the centre sections on the MY03/04 are longer than those on the MY05 JDM's (which are the same length as the UK cars).
If the cat has been replaced with a decat etc, then chances are it will fit.

Hence why we say MY05 gets less confusing than 2004 car

I agree with above if my05 jdm it has 2 piece downpipe and same centre as newage uk car as that's what I have if earlier jdm has 1 piece downpipe and a classic length centre pipe,

Tony
A long time since I had Scoobs mate, been use to the simplicity of Evos, most bits so easily interchangeable on them.

Below is what I have fitted now!

This is what the downpipe looked like I removed, (not mine for sale I must add!):

Okay guys just had it confirmed that yes it is the same length as the oe non jdm blobeye 2005 centre pipe ie. 49" so its good to go guys !!

thanks again " daz1968 / TonyBurns " for your valuable input on the subject as I say twin scroll JDM cars dont mean a lot to mean in the way there exhaust set up differs from the rest off our cars so would have been lost without your excellent advice !!

cheers guys.

john

p.s Matt R you have a pm mate !!
