There is both an sti and spec c in blobeye shape so you need to check it out but if advertised as jdm sti probably is just that as a spec c would hold a premium

A couple of quick visual checks for you:

Does it have a roof vent but no rear wiper? If so then it would appear to be a Spec C, a further check would be the applied model code.

Plus most Spec C's came with wind up windows and no A/C as well, only the limited models had them or as my car they were a factory option.

Mine has AC, although it's a 2006.

It also has a passenger sun visor to keep Ms Jock happy, but only because you sent me it!

I think the Hawkeye and possibly the wide track Blobeye have A/C as standard, the Spec C Hawkeye isn't a great deal lighter than the std JDM STi. I think my 2004 Blobeye weighs around 1310kg and the Hawkeye 1390kg.

And of course you've increased yours by around 100g by fitting a passenger sun visor.

From what I've heard yours is about 1350kg, although I've seen different figures.

I misread your last sentence and thought you were suggesting that Ms Jock weighed in at 100kg! She's by no means a porker, lovely bod in fact.

On that plate there would be 4 different models available out of the 5 for that year.

STI "KL" (poverty spec)
STI "GL" (has all the goodies like a-dccd)
Spec C 17 inch
Spec C 16 inch motorsport (missing stuff the 17 inch has like oil cooler, a-dccd and brembos)
and the one it wont be as these were april 03 cars

STI Spec C limited (normally all 53 plates)

Tony

Hey Tone.

Andy8301 PM'd me with the following tech question, thought you may be better placed to answer:

"the car i am looking at is 2002 blob sti JDM am i right in thinking that this is the one with DCCD, twin scroll turbo, equal lengh headers ect. How much in your opinion would the above car be worth with 35,00 miles and a years tax and MOT? Pretty standard with scoobysport backbox and a panel filter."

Yeah, figured that. Looks reversable though?

Do you have a Scoob with no sun visors now? Fully stripped for track use!

I still have the drivers side fitted, I bought both visors I sent to you but never got round to fitting them and figured that the weight penalty by fitting the passenger side was not worth paying.
