G Man..

Just make sure you don't get any grease on the contact side of the pads.
Otherwise you won't be able to stop out side your house...

Ah, g man, but those in the know will say to themselves - oooo he's running race pads

when your taking the pads out, arm yourself with a can of brake cleaner, and get rid of any accumulated dust etc. squeaky brakes is a bit of a black art, mate who works for AP Racing spent 2 months trying to stop the uprated brakes on a Bently Continental T from squeaking. Test drives were fun though

The standard brakes on my MY00 squeal and have done for some time. Mostly it's when reversing, so I haven't bothered to do anything about it. Currently deciding whether to do a "brake upgrade" when the current ones wear out...

Don't replace them... He's just after your dosh

I've had new pads fitted about 6 weeks ago and they have a tendancy to sqeaul under light & hard braking.

My brother who's my personal mechanic took them off and regreased the backs of the pads with Copper Grease. Cure that 'orrible squeaking noise for me.

Question

my brakes keep sqeaking on soft and hard braking, there is plenty of pad on the car and the mileage is about 21K on a T99 . I have been to dealers , one took it for a test drive and said its the pads need changing. The other said took it for drive and said it needs re-greasing and that the pads are ok , and this sometimes happens? has this happened to any of you? not sure which to believe..."help me"
