I've got the same issue in my work van and I bloody hate spiders. Recently had a week in Spain, jumped in the van on the Monday morning and got a face full of web.
A guy in my town imported a VW camper van from Aus. He found a nest of black widows in it. Had to be taken away to be cleared. There was a big thing in the local rag about it, not sure I'd be able to drive it though, lol.

I got bit by one of the little ******* last summer, a false widow spider! Saw it on the wing mirror and though that's a weird looking spider, distinctively shiner black with a strange marking in it's back, I remember thinking that looks like a black widow lol, tried to flick it off but I legged it inside the wing mirror housing, didn't think anymore about it. Jumped in the car an hour or so later and was driving along with my arm resting on the window sill, window wide open when I felt something crawl up my arm, when I looked it was the same spider, as I am scared ****eless of them I panicked and tried to squish it in-between my forearm and the door, as I did the little creeper bit me fell of and ran away under the seat, within half hour my fingers had gone num and had a golf ball size lump my arm, went to medical drop in centre and they confirmed a false widow bite, I was ok after an hour or 2, the car wasn't though I bug bombed it to kingdom come then ripped out the interior lol, never ever found the little ****e bag though. Can't remember what bug bombs I used though sorry, after all that lol, but my car forever stank of them lol.

Aus = Redback.
USA = Black Widow.

Albeit, they're effectively the same.

Sorry!
