Hi,
Just thought to say hi to all you scooby fans, I came from a Ford ST and the ST owners forum was more than helpful... So didn't think twice about joining you guy's as a quick look over the site gives me confidence in being able to find out many thing's that I need to know as a new owner of a 51 plate WRX.
Got the car today,
1st impressions - Loud!!
I will put the specs up later, although i feel and been told its very close to being standard...
I'v tried to add pictures... If they arive then feel free to comment.[/IMG]

Welcome mate, my friend Emma has a 2001 WRX Bugeye so it will be good to see what you have and what plans you've got for it.
You need to copy/paste the complete IMG tag from photobucket to post pics

I know the site will hold the info on what mods to complete in what order somewhere ( I will look).
But will appreciate your advise, thanks in advance...
HKS superloaded green induction kit,
Blitz nur spec exhaust (cat back)
Uprated fuel pump, (not sure of make or anything)
uprated plug's, (dont know the name)
18ins wheels,
drilled an grooved disk's & pads,
crystal sidemarker an indicater.
And I believe that is it.
I got told of a place that does work on subaru's in the Wales area, Indigo, anyone recomend them?
But will appreciate your advise, thanks in advance...

Hi there
I wouldn't worry about the induction kit at moment.Your OE airbox is OK for your future upgrades
Blitz Nur Spec exhaust its nice ,but overall too loud, but mostly people like this exhaust like we have before, probably nicest exhaust(and loudest too)
About the fuel pump,Walbro 255lph or HRC are great and don't cost so much, but HRC is cheaper
Plugs NGK PFR7B are great plugs and mostly used
18" wheels looking very nice,on your WR Blue will be best look White, contact here Maggs about the alloys,he have good deals for SN members
About the discs and pads, contact here Ian Goodney@Godspeed brakes or Bob@Aztec Performance
Ryan@Indigo is great guy and people use him,if you are looking for remap contact here Graham@EngineMapper or Duncan@Race Dynamix
PS:Welcome here there and enjoy Subaru

Scoop is easy so long as it has the bolt holes or captive bolts. Just undo the old, fit the new.
Spoiler is more tricky.
Firstly, waht's it made of? If it's fibreglass, personally I'd sell it on ebay and look for a genuine one. In my experience fibreglass ones are too heavy, don't fit well and tend to crack in use........it's just too rigid.
If it's NOT f/glass, do a search on fitting spoiler. Lots of tips, too early in the day for me to write it all out, but I'll check back when I have more time, make sure you have found summats.

Welcome from a newish member!!!
A mate of mine on here had a wrx 01 bug and it was running around 301bhp with no problems, although he did need to replace the gearbox after launching it a few times. No probs with the engine though. He had the car quite a long time and it was still running well when he changed it

Must have changed the turbo as the stock TD04 maxes out around 280bhp.
My friend emma has a 2001 bug with a de-cat exhaust, panel filter, walbro pump, 3 port solenoid and then Duncan from Racedynamix came to the house to remap it. Best £300 we ever spent! Transformed the car and we'll be getting a power reading on the 22nd when we go to a Scoobyworld Dyno Day.
Duncan says that we should expect 270/270 as its running 95 RON unleaded so fingers crossed.
After that, I think Santa might have a VF35, up pipe and map tweek in his sack to give her a nice safe 300/300.

It's been professionally tuned by Andy Forrest to 301bhp. A few specs first:
Engine
Hybrid TD04 turbo, supplied and mapped by AFP
STi intercooler
Prodrive backbox & H&S full exhaust with std cats removed and replaced by a sports cat within the Ninja downpipe.
STi pink injectors
Green panel filter
Suspension
Prodrive springs
Whiteline adjustable 22mm anti rollbar
Aluminium droplinks
Brakes
EBC Bluestuff NDX fronts (the ones everyone keeps going on about!), Ferodo DS2500 rears, AS Performance discs have covered only 5000mls.
Goodrich braided hoses
Dot 5.1 fluid

thanks chap, i've got a vf35 with 336bhp so i'm ok but emma needs more fizzle. Might see what her best value option is when I have the £. Not sure what a good upgrade for 300/300 would be?

I put the Scoop on today, took the original one off to get a paint match.
I not sure what the rear spoiler made of, its not that heavy, will have a look now and will take a pic so someone can tell me what type it is.
