Hello everyone,

This may seem really thick but...

I have recently bought 2003 plate wrx.

It has a decat downpipe and centre pipe.. but how do i find out if the uppipe has been decated too?

Can i see it if i pop the bonnet?

the up-pipe is between the turbo and headers, a decat up-pipe wont have the EGT sensor in it so if there is no wire it will have been decated.

As you open the bonnet, it's the short piece of exhaust pipe attached to the right of the turbo. The lambda sensor was on the downpipe, on my 04 WRX, so I don't think you can use that to see if it's been changed. They are a pain to change, but worth the effort.

Lay under the car. The up pipe is the small pipe that you'll see coming from the bottom of the turbo. You won't see bugger all from under the bonnet.
