Just a short message to let others know that it is possible to claim for a new clutch on cars imported from Europe. My MY00 turbo started with clutch judder @ 7000 miles and got steadily worse. I had the clutch and flywheel replaced, paying for the work on my credit card, and then had the parts sent to Subaru Holand for inspection. It took just over a week to get the OK - Subaru Holland accepted the claim. All I have to do is drop in and get the refund put on my card.

Thanks to PhilH for the advice and Showell's in Stourbrige for doing the work / chasing IM and getting the refund through.

Once again a happy Scooby owner!

Rich.

Well done.

Blimey - seems harder to get a claim accepted for a U.K. one!

Out of interest, what was the cost you paid on your CC? I'm just starting to get judder now.

Great result - well done!

Rob

The clutch change costs just over £800 - I received a refund in 7 days. With just a few days left to go before your 12 months is up you'll need to get a move on!

Rob,
It was just over £800 for the clutch and flywheel - took just over a week to get the claim accepted.

Question

Do all MY00 have the same clutch problem eventually or was it cars made before a certain date?

Cheers, merlin

A day - usually drop off the night before. And they provide a courtesy car if you ask when booking - best to let them take a look beforehand though.
