I want to remove the 2nd cat from the exhaust of my 2006 euro STI, but it needs to look as OE as possible (Swiss laws...)

Are there any STIs that don't run a 2nd cat as standard? Maybe the Spec C?

I know the P1 and RB5 don't run a 2nd cat as standard. Would it be possible to fit the centre section from a classic to my newage?

If you get the prodrive/scorpion section you can refit the standard cat heatshield off your cat so it looks like the standard pipe - look at eBay item numbers:

110699743910 for 2.0 litre

230474875552 for 2.5 litre

Cheers,

Ayde.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Anyone know the part number for the prodrive mid section or whole exhaust?

I'd prefer to get the prodrive stuff because at least it has some sort of European homologation.

What does the Spec C use as standard? Does it have the 2nd cat as well?

Why not just use a hammer and chiesel and smash the insides out of the cat?

Good suggestion by boosted
Scorpion make the Prodrive exhaust parts but you should have no problem picking up a second hand Prodrive supplied pipe.

I bought a prodrive pipe from a 2.5 sti to fit my twinscroll jdm as I wanted a stainless section so a Jap spec resonator section from a 2005 onwards sti or spec c would also fit but a prodrive pipe would be better in stainless and probably easier to find.
