Default Methanol and engine

Hi,

Sometimes i use a 10% of meth (mixed with v-power) in my SPEC C. The meth has corrosive properties so i use all fuel in the tank and, then, i add other vpower to clean the tank and engine.

The question is:

With low % of meth (10% so 5lt) i have to really use all the meth in the tank or i can leave also half of fuel in the tank, for some days?

Every comments will be apprenciated

thks

Carlo (Italy) quote

the corrosive effect of 10% meth in the fuel shouldn't be an issue. I've been useing 10% inclusion for the last 3-4 years and not seen any problems. My car is mapped for it to be included all the time. If the meth is used without mapping you run the risk of maxing the injectors/ running lean when at wide open throttle.
So best to use either all the time or not at all.
hope I understood your question correctly and this helps.
Trev
