Depends on how well the engine has been looked after, im impressed it still has a cdb, most have holes in them when the rods eject the pistons through the sides and a cdb doesnt make the strength, the rods and pistons do, the cdb just stops the flex, and you need serious power (500+bhp) before you even need to consider one.

Now now Tony, I'm sure you'd agree on reflection thats a bit of an exaggeration. MOST have been removed and sold to those looking to build high power engines, or scrapped inadvertently

There are probably huge amounts of these sitting on peoples shelves as spares. I know at least two culprits of this who probably have 5 between them.

I have had the car for 8 years now.The engine has done 107.000 miles and has a oil change every 7.500 miles. It has a Exedy clutch and a standard wrx gearbox.I was hoping to get 320 bhp, then save up as much as possible for a 2.1 stroker kit and 6 speed gearbox.
