attended service at petrol station
The wife and i were coming home through tunbridge wells this afternoon when i noticed i needed fuel. we pulled into a real old style service station. old lucas signs, little shop, family run business for a zillion years, you know the sort of thing i mean. and as i was about to get out of the car, i noticed that a young lady was already at the pump. she asked what fuel i wanted etc and filled the car up without me getting out.
this is the first time for both my wife and me that this has happened. and i know its only a little thing but it made such a differance to see that this sort of thing still happens.
anyway, many thanks to the little service station in tunbridge wells.

Garage across the border in Omeath (Ireland) has an attended service also, a few years ago irish fuel was a lot cheaper so the northern irish folks used to duck across the border to fill up, I reckon the attended service helped keep things moving faster as there were always queues. Still a nice touch though and say it cost 57 to fill, they would take 55 rather than have to run in for change etc.
