. full de-cat exhaust system

. 550cc fuel injectors
. sti tmic or a front mount intercooler
. walbro fuel pump
and a remapped ecu will see nice results
and i bet it wont stop there either ??

Wheels refurbished
Bodywork machine polished and treated and polished to perfection
Engine bay cleaned
If it's not allready done so
Then people can look at it and say that's a fantastic car for 17 years old
V5 rear spolier
Rear tints
Lowered eibach springs
Drop links
Geometry done
Jobs a good one and you will get respect
Don't drive through halfrauds and stick on loads of tat
And DONT put a dump valve on
Unless you have a rear facing baseball hat ( that I don't know where to buy ) and oversized trainers with White socks and ill fitting track suit bottoms and gold chains from Argos cos it's wicked

If stickies and Dump Valves are your thing, go for it. Haters gonna Hate whatever you do with it.
£1000 aint going to get you much, so spend wisely!

How many miles has the car covered ?
Has it ever had a engine re-build ?
What is the service history like ?
Has it been mapped since being imported ?
These are all major points to consider before increasing the power/torque on a 17 year old car. Last thing you want is to spend all your hard earned on Halfords modifications for the car to go pop and you can't afford a rebuild.

first mod to improve the look of any car imo , are a set of alloys hopefully not prodrive/redlines like everyone else !! id spend a grand on some nice 17s with quality rubber revolution alloys have some very nice wheel designs that suit jap cars at affordable prices . to be honest im one of the few that has nothing against dumpvalves as long as its a quality recirculating one such as forge motorsports as vta's (vent to atmosphere )can cause issues
dont worry about getting "respect"
your car , get what you like

oh , i was expecting it to be standard ? its a nice looking car matey
as you asked advice this is what i personally would do "glad you didnt have prodrives by the way, lol "
. black calipers + black mud flaps + black nuts = nice and stealthy
. remove light brows
. add a chunky front splitter
. put bonnet vent back to standard
. carbon wrap the bonnet leaving the vents white . i love how effective it looks , hence why i done mine
also mate have you considered a face lift with lights ,wings ,bonnet and bumper ??
but your car does look nice as it is really maybe a nice clean though

I would concentrate on getting the car running perfectly before even considering the looks chap. After all, how the thing drives is what's important in my humble opinion.
Most important thing for you to know is,,-
The car will need mapping to except whatever engine modifications you add. I've seen too many stories of young lads bolting on all their new bits without having the management set up for them, (I've even done it myself many moons ago).
Best thing I can advise is to get all the bits bought that you want to add, leave them to one side until you have everything you desire. Then bolt them all on when you have a mapping day organized. Racing around with stuff like FMIC, induction kit, exhaust, dump valve etc and no mapping will end in tears chap.

sort the sh*te brakes mate - theya re the worst ever. get bremebos or similar, id skip right past subaru 4 pots
thats first then , uprated front and rear arbs and drop links, good geometry set up and service, and a check on fuelling. - a good clean, polish/wax whatever. anditll drive and feel much better
next month get your "power" bits put by for installation and mapping.
