I've used Meguiars Quik detailer and Poorboys Quik detailer plus and they both work very well imo.

But if you're trying to polish that ebay special the phrase 'you can't polish a turd' comes to mind

I've recently clayed my clay for the first time and the result, imo, was fantastic.
Paintwork was so smooth afterwards, don't worry about using a lot of the spray as it won't harm the paint and it's better to have lots of lubricatant than not enough

Tubby, of course it is

I used garden hose with an adjustable spray attachment like the ones you get from B+Q,then gave it a hand wash (lambs wool mitt plenty of soap suds and two buckets),dried it off then clay bar followed by Poorboy's white Diamond Glaze, then Poorboy's Natty White Paste Wax then the Poorboy's Quick Detailer Plus (my car is white and and these were the products that suited my car)

Polished Bliss do a good run down on their website which is where I got my cleaning products and advice from

one filled with soapy water and the other with clean water, wash a panel at a time and rinse in the bucket of clean water after each panel then go back for soapy water and wash another, its the two bucket method it removes any dirt that maybe lodged in the wash mit before transferring to another panel on the car

One full of nice clean soapy water

and

One to rinse out your mitt which collects all the cr@p and dirt/grit so you dont put it back on your paint work again

If prepared and polished properly and a good lsp ie wax or sealant applied there should be no reason to polish again for at least 12 months. Then as said be for use a mild shampoo and finish with a good quality quick detailer.

I recently used that 'Showroom Shine' stuff , only as a mate is a rep for it and I got it rather discounted lol seems quite good. Mine is a complete to keep clean as its white.
I was warned though, that it takes time for it to give the best results but I was happy. Used it on the misses bogging motor and it was litterally spray, wipe on till cloudy then buff off. Her car is red and the results were rather impressive

lol still none the wiser, maybe why i need it will help.
im going jap show at santa pod soon, my car is going to be on the babs stand, now obviously it will be polished before i go but just need something to give it a quick once over when i arrive.
something quick and easy that gives a good finish with no residue.
