a relinered cdb is about as strong as you're going to get. you need to bear in mind

1. it's not cheap to do
2. do you really need it for the power you want to run
3. could i get away with a pinned odb instead
3. who did the liner job
4. what metal did they use in the liners

if you have money too burn, fill your boots, but it's usually overkill unless you are running big power.

cheers for your reply pal, wasnt sure on it,it is having a 2.1 stroker in it and been sent away for boreing, and now they say it needs a lining! The engine builder isnt charging me anymore to do this! so quite happy then

You're engine builder isn't charging you extra for lining a block?

Seeing as it costs about £300 per cylinder I'd be a bit concerned about that.

Who's building the engine/linering the block?

We haven't yet seen a linered block that was as good as we'd like to see it!
My view is that the whole point of a good CDB is the integrity of the block, which can be compromised by poor linering. I'd want another block.

Buy a solid CDB. My buddy has one for sale for £400. Cheaper option that linering a already damaged block in the long run.

to say i had problems would be a massive understatment.just buy a proper block, get it built by someone who knows what they are doing and life will be a lot better.
