Okay thanks, found these on ebay, look okay ?? obviously the diametre off the pipe is 2.5" and its a twin bolt design, how much off the flange has to be covered to make a tight seal ?? look as if it will be okay on the flange on the scorpion pipe ??

I personally wouldn't buy gaskets off eBay for the sake of saving a fiver, knowing that I'd get a genuine Subaru gasket for a few quid more.

You will need a doughnut/ cone gasket for the other end of the de-cat pipe as 2 flat gaskets won't work buddy.

the doughnut gasket is reusable and will pull off your old section easily, just buy a new flat one for the joint to centre section

Okay decided just to be on the safe side and go for two new ones, have fired off an email to import car parts just to check to see if there cone gasket fits a 2.5" pipe ?? hopefully they sell the flat gasket to suit as well, been advised by mechanic to go for the flat one with the inner heat ring.

anyone else recommend source off genuine subaru gaskets at none subaru prices ??!!

Okay guys just took delivery off these gaskets, cone filter looks fine but unfortunatly dont think I will be able to use the 2.5" flat gasket ?? the diametre of the actual pipe is 2.5" which the flat gasket goes round okay but unfortunatly the holes within the gasket for the bolts dont match with the holes on the flanges off the new decat pipe ie. gasket is to small.

how much off the gasket area has to cover the surface area off the flange ?? does it have to be held on via the bolts or can the mechanic who is fitting the decat pipe use some sort off sealer to hold it in place instead ??

bit confused guys ??!!

BTTT

no one else used the Scorpion decat pipe ??

been back in touch with importcarparts and hopefully may have a more suitable gasket on its way !!

failing that just heard back from Scorpion themselves who say quote " If there isn’t a gasket then we just use a silicone based exhaust sealant paste as this works just as well as any gasket."

anyone confirm this ?? obviously the gasket has that inner steel ring which using exhaust sealer paste would not.
