How much have you got to spend? Which Subaru? A UK one(easier to service and run), An import(faster but more hassle to service and run)

Have you looked into how much it costs to run an Impreza? They are'nt cheap to run

its worth having a look at the SIDC FAQ for general advice. As for autotrader prices haggle hard there are plenty of cars in that price range and you may be able to get more for your money than you expect.

just bought a UK '94.....well chuffed with it but had to do a couple of things to it.

Sump had been repaired twice due to corrosion !! got a new one on there now....and needed a rear wheel bearing....

Apart from that with 95,000 on the clock she's running sweet.

Hope you get a good one mate, let us all know....

Steve
