You need to check out the P1s. Tend to be better looked after and have held a good price so they're still out of reach of the chavs.

How much you got to spend? Will make a big difference. Think you'll get a good type-r for about 5-6k and a good p1 for around 8-10k.

Paid 7k for my P1 which was in good condition but then cost 4k to get it to my standard.

They are about you just need to take your time and not rush into it. I think the fact that they are getting on a bit now means the **** poorly looked after ones are slowly dying off.

When I bought my first classic 5 years ago there were loads about, many chavved up. Now you don't see any where near as many.

Cars become cheap before they become classics.

Looks original with only a few subtle mods, only put off is the wind deflector missing from the drivers side.

You need to be prepared to travel. I'm in SW Midlands and found my classic in Whitby

Get your telephone questioning honed which will reduce wasted time

They are out there. Mine had covered just 40K miles and is a minter
