Default Is a td04 ok to use

I got a 96 sti. I need a temporary turbo. Would a td04 be ok?

No, your car is mapped for a different turbo, different air flow/boost levels etc, it will cause engine issues if you tried running with this turbo.
You need the same turbo you took out for the car to run properly.

Thanks Tony. I got a tdo5 20g normally. I had it reconned by AET and I put it back on and it seized up with 'shot blast'. Had them fix it again and they said to flush engine. I'm sure you understand at a total cost of £800 I don't want to chance putting it back on to flush the oil

I would be very worried about engine with blast media being in oil don't think flushing it will be 100% effective. They may have to do more than redo your turbo
