Default 05 blobeye wrx fitting single din stereo

Guys do you have to get an adapter cable for ariel for radio when replacing scoob stereo with single din ? Got the iso lead for new stereo just wandering if its same set up we had on bmw we had to buy an adapter for ariel aswell as iso lead 2005 blob wrx

I had to get an ariel adaptor as well as the iso adaptor when fitting one in my car but was easy to get off eBay cheap

I replaced mine with a different double din unit and didn't have to (2005 WRX also) but not sure if this is because it had previously been done or not as the pics I found of someone else doing it said you did.

It's really quick to get in and out though so should only take a couple of minutes to try your new one out and confirm one way or the other!
